2nd Cosplay!

Today, I went for a cosplay shooting session. My aim was to capture different shots in my different experimental methods, To achieve better quality shots, I tried using manual settings so as to enable me to adjust and experiment the different settings while taking the shots. We took some shots at the water fountain, at the middle of the bridge,etc as we tried to use different styles, landscapes and see what best shots could we take from our experimental shots. At the end of the day, I guess I have achieved great quality shots but we also achieve it at different angles. photos will be up after editing is done to it.

Start of a new year!

Went to take photos of the firework to put into my PD. Good position, with a not bad composition. But think the weather is not on my side. the smoke are moving towards my directions and half of the firework are being blocked by the thick smoke. Therefore my photos all went down the drain. Only maybe 2 or 3 are worthy to be put into my PD.

Korea!

Going through my archive of photos, I found some nice photos that I took while in DIDM Korea Trip. Still remember everyone was there snapping around. That time still a beginner so not really sure how to play with the settings of a DSLR. But manage to come out with some decent photos

Drawing... drawing...

In my last semester, we took Drawing module. From the initial lessons we were asked to draw the different shapes of objects, that is the basic. As weeks gone by for this module, we learnt about drawing of 1,2 & 3 points perspective for objects. We also learned how to draw humans lines, buildings and more complex objects. The final and the most tough one would be drawing portrait. I guess that is my greatest achievement that Im proud of.

For drawing UT, I applied whatever we had learned during the 15 weeks in my work. I used perspective as you can see from my drawing. Before the final work, I had done prep work such as brainstorming ideas ; mindmap, and researching on the smiliar objects, doing different thumbnails and experimenting the different colours schemes, before I can come up with the final work.

Ok, this is my 1st time shooting at a cosplay event. It is also my 1st time shooting people. So learn while playing with the settings while taking photos to come out with the ideal settings for that day. but due to the amount of people, there is not really much space and therefore not able to get a deep DOF to blur my background.
